We’re looking for skilled Dinosaur Educator

Dinosaur Coast Education Officer: Dinosaurs need a skilled Educator. For in school and holiday program activities

Can you help us over the next 6 months to connect with school children (all ages). The work will be spread over 195 hours and paid @$50/hour.

TITLE:  Education Officer (Contract Service Provider)

RATE, HOURS AND TIME-FRAME: The position will be paid at the rate of $50/hour. It is a short-term limited hours contract position for the equivalent of 195hrs.

POSITION OBJECTIVES: Identify, develop deliver, and document educational opportunities that could incorporate the Dinosaur Coast story.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review DCMG current school initiatives (in-school, field excursions, holiday activities and Dinosaur Coast Interpretive display at the Broome Museum)
  • Undertake a desk top assessment of how other states and countries deliver the dinosaur story and assess their relevance locally. Note: The Broome Dinosaur story is track / trace fossil based.
  • Plan, develop and work with teachers, principals, and education administrative staff to deliver innovative ways of including the Dinosaur Coast in Broome schools
  • Deliver x 6 in-school initiatives and x 6 field excursions.
